Many of the pads that you see on NBA players are custom.
The most comparable item to what you see Paul wearing is McDavid's #6440 HexForce™ Knee/Shin/Elbow Pad.

I was wondering too.Rajon Rondo wears them also but, they look like they"re longer than the regular knee pads. They almost look like a shooting sleeve for your leg with built in knee pads.I've been looking everywhere for my 13 yr old son.

Yes, the sleeves are a custom design. They are not currently available at retail, but the more requests that McDavid retailers receive for specific products, the more likely it is that they can become available.
Be sure to check out www.mcdavidusa.com and take a look at the #6440 and #6444 as a comparable products.

Is there any chance these knee pad sleeves will be available for the
upcoming basketball season? Basically half of the USA world
championship team is wearing these so it seems players like them a lot
more.

Unfortunately, the custom pads will not be available at retail. The longer
sleeve helps to accomodate the athlete's longer than average legs. For a
teen to an average adult, the 6440 would provide awesome
protection/coverage in the form of a padded leg sleeve. But, I will be sure
to pass this request along to product development for further review.
