RUSH CHEERLEADERS & MCDAVID TUG OF PRIDE CHAMPIONSHIPS
CHICAGO (July 21, 2011) – Dancers from around the country are set to reunite during halftime at the Allstate Arena Saturday, July 23rd as the Rush (13-4) close out the regular season against the Milwaukee Mustangs (6-11). The 57 former Adrenaline Rush Dancers are set to perform at halftime in celebration of the Adrenaline Rush Dance Team’s 10 Year Reunion.

Lace-up ankle braces are designed to prevent acute ankle injury in amateur athletes. But until now, that statement wasn't backed up with any hard-core evidence. A recent study shows that lace-up ankle braces, specifically the McDavid 195 Ultralight Ankle Brace, does prevent acute ankle injuries in amateur basketball players.

A recent study, the most extensive of its kind, shows that lace-up ankle braces, specifically the McDavid 195 Ultralight Ankle Brace, prevents most acute ankle injuries in amateur basketball players.

McDavid Donates to Relief Efforts in Japan
McDavid USA, through their Japanese subsidiary, will be donating two million yen (approximately $25,000) to the relief efforts in Japan. McDavid Japan, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of McDavid USA, will designate the charity that will receive the donation.

McDavid Inc. Applauds the New NFHS Rules Changes
McDavid Inc. said it applauded recent rule changes as it pertains to thigh guards and pads. The original NFHS football ruling stated that "when a hard surface was present", thigh pads had to be covered by 1/4" of foam on front and 3/8" on back.

Chop Block Rule Redefined in High School Football
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (February 14, 2011) — A change in the definition of a chop block in high school football, along with a strong emphasis on proper use of the helmet to minimize risk of injury, highlighted the January 21-23 meeting of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Football Rules Committee in Indianapolis. The modification of the chop block rule was one of 11 rules changes recommended by the Football Rules Committee and approved by the NFHS Board of Directors. The new language in Rule 2-3-8 defines a chop block as “a combination block by two or more teammates against an opponent other than the runner, with or without delay, where one of the blocks is low (at the knee or below) and one of the blocks is high (above the knee).”

Superbowl Stars Face Hard Hits, Protected by McDavid and Not
The NFL season generated an increased number of injuries, despite the league's pre-season request for players to wear more protective padding. A few Superbowl stars will take the field Sunday, protected by McDavid USA.
